This year it was my turn to dress up as santa for the annual mothers group christmas party. Unfortunately for me it was also the year the kids started realising that I was dressing up as santa. "You're Ivy's dad... why are you dressing up as Santa.... This was all happening in 33 degree heat after a big night on the booze... Dont you just love xmas.
"Dad... in Africa does Santa sometimes give food to African people?"Ivy unprompted wondering about the plight of starving africans.
"Dad, I want to see what Santa really looks like , everyone just dresses up like him... it's so annoying"
It was also the year Poppy decided she loved the piano... Realistically I think she is a guitar chick
